Neuro-reconnective Stimulation

Attica-area patients enjoy Dr. Gary Schaaf

At Performing Edge Chiropractic we are committed to using the highest quality research and clinical grade instrumentation available for the purpose of detecting and correcting the Vertebral Subluxation (spinal nerve interference) and the devastating effect and pain that they cause.

We do a computerized spinal examination using a new revolutionary non-invasive system called Pulstar and a technique called neuro-reconnective stimulation. This revolutionary instrument and technique works by introducing a preset force into the area of the spine being tested, measuring resistance and displays it on a computer monitor.

Once the area of subluxation is identified the instrument is also used to send a series of impulses into the affected area of the body so it may adjust itself naturally creating a healthier nerve system and a pain free body.

Because of the way your spine is designed, abnormal spinal function can rub, pinch, irritate, or choke the delicate tissues of the spinal cord and nerve roots causing pain and health problems.

Due to its importance the nerve system is evaluated in two ways.

First is through surface E.M.G. When a muscle contracts it produces a small electrical signal. The harder the muscle pulls, the more electricity it gives off. The E.M.G. accurately measures the electrical signals produced by the muscles. Injury, nerve interference, or disease may cause abnormal muscle function associated with the Vertebral Subluxation Complex.

Second, a paraspinal skin temperature study is performed. Infrared sensors are placed to measure the temperature of the skin overlying the spine at 25 paired sites. Differences in skin temperature for each site are measured, and compared to a normative database.

The purpose of the examination is to assess sympathetic nerve function. Depending on your situation an x-ray study may be indicated and taken with our low exposure, highly accurate x-ray unit to assess any spinal damage.

Our approach is totally non-invasive and does not cause pain or irritation. This makes it totally safe for infants, children, pregnant women and seniors.

Dr. Gary Asks some important questions of interest to Attica residents - Chiropractor Attica Dr. Gary Asks...

Can chiropractic cure a child's ear infections?
Chiropractic isn't a cure for anything. Nor is it a treatment for ear infections. However, many children who suffer with ear infections also suffer from spinal problems in their neck, compromising nerves to the ear, depressing the immune system and preventing proper drainage. Can chiropractic help? Find out!
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Attica parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
